Construction and development company has signed a contract with Agrokoncernas Group to build a cow farm complex in the Radviliškis region of Lithuania.
Agrokoncernas provides the Lithuanian market a range of agricultural products while also collaborating with global fertiliser companies to advance plant growing technologies.Â
The latest deal, valued at approximately €53m ($56.83m), will be recorded in the second quarter of the company’s 2024 order book. Â
The project is set to commence next month with completion expected by September 2026.Â
Spanning roughly 78,000m², the complex is being developed on a 53ha plot.Â
It will consist of various buildings, infrastructure facilities, and will incorporate modern engineering solutions.

By GlobalDataThe project also involves the planned construction of a biomethane power plant within the complex, which will convert manure into green energy, with a capacity of 1.77MW.
The farm complex will use energy-efficient air-water heat pumps for heating.
Charging stations for electric cars will also be installed to promote the use of eco-friendly transport among employees.
Separately, YIT, along with Arco and Ramboll, has been selected by the City of Espoo for their joint ‘Walk Around’ proposal in the Leppävaara idea competition. Â
The competition sought a high-quality architectural, urban structure, and functional plan for the area north of the railway tracks.
It is aiming to guide detailed planning and phased construction over the next two decades.
Last month, YIT signed a general contract for the construction of the second phase of the office, trade, and logistics project, Urban HUB, for SBA Urban in Kaunas, Lithuania. Â
Construction commenced at the beginning of the year and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.Â
